Information we collect

• Email address when you subscribe to our hosting shortlist.
• Usage events such as page views and outbound affiliate clicks, tied to a session cookie so we can understand how people find and use the site.
• Technical data such as approximate IP hash, user agent, referrer, and campaign parameters when present.

How we use information

• To send the hosting shortlist emails you requested.
• To understand which guides and recommendations are useful.
• To improve site reliability and prevent abuse.

Cookies and local storage

We set an HTTP-only session cookie to keep your visit connected across pages and outbound clicks. You can block cookies in your browser; some features may not work as intended.

The compare/shortlist tools may also store offer keys in your browser's local storage on this device (not as an account profile on our servers). To clear that data, remove hosts from your shortlist on the site, or clear browsing data / site data for westhosted.com in your browser settings.

Email and unsubscribe

You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in our emails or the unsubscribe page. We stop marketing sends after unsubscribe.

When our email provider reports delivery status (for example accepted, delivered, bounced, complained, delayed, or failed), we record that status so we can operate the mailing list responsibly. Hard bounces and spam complaints suppress further marketing sends to that address. Soft or transient delivery issues are not treated the same way. This describes what the product does when those events arrive; it is not a promise about delivery timelines.

Sharing

We use infrastructure providers (for example hosting, database, and email delivery) to operate the site. Outbound affiliate clicks send you to third-party merchant sites that have their own privacy policies. We do not sell your email address.

Requests

For access or deletion requests related to your email lead record, contact hello@westhosted.com. We handle these requests manually; there is no self-serve privacy portal. We delete your subscriber record and its related email enrollments and send jobs. We remove links from related analytics events and conversions to that subscriber record, but retain some historical analytics and transaction records.
